The LIC of Harokopio University of Athens supports Sustainable Development
The LIC of Harokopio University of Athens supports the "17 Aims of Sustainable Development", known as "Agenda 2030" of the United Nations, by:
· promoting literacy, including digital and media literacy, and informational education,
· the reduction of the digital gap and the increase of the inclusion of the information access, through the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) LIC uses,
· operating as the heart of the research for the academic and research community, and the free access to the information,
· being a safe place, a place assisting the skills' development, the innovation's promotion, the creativity and the access to the global knowledge,
· reserving institutional and national culture and heritage and providing access to the global heritage,
· participating in various subject networks, not only for the promotion of the "Agenda 2030" goals but providing a range of sources and services for its academic community and the wider audience as well.
· considering the importance of the environmental management due the climate change and the reduce of the natural sources minimized the use of paper by using e-documents while it sustains recycling bins for paper, plastic and battery at the library area.
