The LIC accepts donations provided that their content aligns with the thematic subjects covered by the institution.
Donors must acknowledge that the donated materials will be incorporated into the LIC's collection. The LIC will take all necessary actions to process, catalog, and make these materials accessible to users.
The donation process is as follows:
· The donor informs the LIC of their intention to donate materials.
· The library's responsible party contacts the donor to verify the type, subject, and condition of the materials.
· Once the materials meet the inclusion criteria, they are transferred to the library space by the donor, initiating the processing procedure. It is noted in both the book and the accession register that the donor's name is associated with the donation.
· A thank-you letter is sent to the donor, detailing the information of all the books they generously contributed to the LIC.
